Many factors should be taken into consideration when deciding on a career, like an individual’s interest and qualifications in education and the goals of the career, family concerns as well as abilities and skills as well as professional qualifications. This paper will provide an in-depth analysis of the various aspects that affect your career choices. The main attention will be on me, who holds a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems, and the factors I need to consider when deciding on my career path.

Introduction

The path a person takes in their career plays a significant role in determining his lifestyle about success or lack thereof. It is the process of advancing throughout one’s life, including formal education and working in a professional setting. Due to the growth and development of different economic fields, There has been a surge in the variety of jobs available to make the most of the opportunities created to succeed through increased productivity. This is because people play an important role in the work of organizations because of their skills.

While the rise of numerous jobs is thought to be a benefit because it allows individuals to be able to apply their academic qualifications in various sectors of economics However, it comes with some disadvantages also. In particular, it’s associated with creating confusion regarding career choices as individuals are offered many options (Brown 2002). This is a document that outlines a plan of action for the things I need to consider when deciding on my future career. My educational background includes a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems and my goal now is to figure out what is the most suitable career choice for me.

Issue Identification

The identification of issues is a crucial process in making decisions, regardless of the degree of complexity. It helps in making the right decision from the various options available or options. It also allows the successful implementation of strategies and the achievement of outcomes related to the issue being addressed. When you identify the issue it is possible to come up with a long-term solution instead of a continual issue that requires revisiting. Similar to any other issue choosing a profession is now a challenge for many people because they are overwhelmed by possibilities without considering all possible options and the consequences.

I am an individual who has performed very well in my studies, getting a bachelor’s degree in Computer sciences as well as a Master’s in Business Administration in Information Systems. While this is an excellent education, it will not assure me of a position in the job market. This means that there’s a lot to consider when choosing my profession. One of the primary things to think about is the individual’s interests and educational background in addition to the stability of their job and potential for promotion, as well as the amount of compensation provided.

CareerQuestions You Could Ask Yourself

When I am trying to decide on the most suitable career that best suits me, I must think about a few questions. This can help me come up with arguments against various careers. These questions might seem straightforward, but in the actual sense, they’re very helpful to determine the direction in which to go in light of specific considerations. A few of the questions I have to consider asking myself to pinpoint the issue and arrive at an answer that is reliable regarding the most suitable career path for me include: do I have the right job one that is most suitable for my abilities, needs, and preferences, and can this be the most rewarding job for me?. In answer to these questions, the responses were “Yes “No”.

This is because I am not getting satisfaction at work and I do not feel satisfied with my work. The next question to ask would be: why am I not happy with my job? Some possibilities to answer this question could be the inability to progress and pay that doesn’t match my professional credentials. This is in direct correlation to the reality that I’m not in the proper position, which means that my compensation is not as high. Being at a lower position or level could hinder the possibility of advancement or advancement.

Other questions that may aid me in my career path are: what are my hobbies? What are my skills? What are my strengths? What’s my character? What are my motives? The evaluation of your answers can aid in deciding on a better job. The conclusion is that I’m not at my best and I must take the necessary steps to accomplish my goals.

My problem

My biggest issue is the fact that I feel that I’ve not achieved my full potential because my job at the help desk as a specialist isn’t in line with my objectives. This is especially true regarding satisfaction at work which is essential to allow individuals to excel in every aspect of life. Therefore, the real question has to be “What is the best career for me?”

Issue Analysis

Issue analysis is the process of analyzing the issue in greater detail trying to determine the most effective solution. While the job of a help desk technician is in line with the field of information technology, I believe that it’s not my ideal career choice. It is because of the specializations that I studied in school, as well as my passions and motives. My entry-level position has also hindered my opportunities for advancement and caused my pay to be below my expectations, this reduces my self-esteem and the desire to change towards a better alternative.

Questions for Issue Analysis

Different questions can be employed to examine the problem to get a deeper understanding and determine the best solutions to the issue. The questions that must be addressed will focus on the root of the issue, for instance, those who are directly affected, how serious the issue is, the options available and how they can be implemented, as well as the duration of time the issue was encountered and also the motive to come to strategies for finding a solution. The primary reason for the problem is the lack of a cohesive culture in the organization I work in where individuals’ qualifications aren’t matched to the job opportunities available.

If only the company offered me a higher-level job (in terms of the level) instead of the entry-level one, I’d be able to use my full potential and receive a decent amount of money. This will greatly increase my satisfaction with my work, and I think this is essential to achieve my goals.

While researching possibilities of careers in the area of information technology, I am struck by the variety of opportunities for individuals working within this field. A few of them include network administrator technicians, help desk, website masters, database admin computer programmers, and repair technicians, among other positions (Reynolds 1999).

Career

Develop Alternatives

Before making any choice the alternatives must be considered. This will ensure that there are some alternatives and that the most suitable option is chosen to find the best solution. Based on my academic background and the determination to pursue a job that can boost the growth and achievement of my company regardless of where I am located There are a variety of options to pick a profession. There are a variety of options, including network administrator, software developer, database administrator, and webmaster. They will be more suitable for me in comparison to the help desk technician (Fisher 2004).

Evaluate Alternatives

In addition to developing the previously mentioned alternatives, it is also necessary to determine the most suitable alternative. The options will be evaluated on factors like education background, job security as well as remuneration and advancement possibilities. To provide a more clear comparison of the various options, and to pick the best one I will show them in a table.

Make a Recommendation

In the above study and analysis of my career choices, It is clear there is a need to invest more time in knowledge will be needed to achieve my career goals most likely because everyone is looking for the best job. However, many people make poor decisions when it comes to selecting which courses to study during their school years and also the work to do, regardless of the interest of others, such as due to the amount of income they earn or because of a need to be desperate.

After careful consideration of the options above I choose to go for a career as a software developer since there is more job stability and better chances to advance. Pay is also excellent and is something that I am interested in. When one is involved in any activity one should ensure that they’re involved in a field where one believes that one can have an impact on the people surrounding the world (Stair and Stair 2005).

Implementation

To be successful I’ll work on my computer abilities. To accomplish this I’ll take three months of a language course beginning the next semester. The cost of the course is approximately $3000, which I will finance with my savings. I will be proactive in my job search, and after I find a job as a software developer I will make use of the skills for my benefit as well as the good of the company as a whole.

Review Plan

Reviewing the plan is essential to making sure that you can assess the success or failure of an undertaking. After three years, I will evaluate myself to assess the progress I have made in my career. This will assist in making the necessary changes to reach my objectives. If I am not able to achieve my desired results I will follow the procedures and exercise caution when I see a lack of performance.

Review of the Decision-Making Process

In the previous discussion, we can see that only a tiny percentage of people are convinced that they should pursue a particular job or career path regardless of the specifics associated with it, such as the salary or position, as well as the duties they are assigned. It means that when it comes to the selection process for which career to pursue, a variety of elements are taken into consideration including career goals, personal issues as well as abilities, skills as well as professional and educational qualifications, and so on.

As a general rule, we would declare that decision-making is a crucial element both at the individual and organizational levels. The process of making decisions must be logical and based on a variety of solid facts instead of merely based on preconceived notions.

It is essential to make a thorough assessment of the issue to devise efficient ways to address the issue. Additionally, a variety of options should be identified and then they are evaluated before the most effective one is chosen for implementation to arrive at an answer. Each step of decision-making is equally important, and not compromised to achieve success. The long-term solution must also be considered to avoid repeat issues (McGraw 1982).

Psychology

Psychology: Personal and Career Development

Though many people believe that self-focus could be harmful psychology research has evidence to suggest that it can be a key element for positive life changes. There are a lot of theories on self-regulation that support the concept that positive change, given the positive quality of self-focus of an individual, is dependent on two factors that are a goal to be set, and an awareness of where you are at to achieve the desired goal. In everyday life, we have many goals. But, not all these goals are fulfilled due to an inability to recognize themselves.

Psychological research has shown that negative emotions generated by awareness of the chasm between the end goal and the current situation can be a powerful motivator for self-improvement. There are plenty of lessons to be learned from those who frequently reflect on themselves. No matter if they’re an individual Buddhist who meditates, or an entire bunch of English philosophers who are studying the writings that were written by Immanuel Kant, becoming aware of yourself is an essential aspect of self-improvement. It is also comforting to observe a range of religious traditions that exert an influence on the issues mentioned in the psychology literature as essential to self-improvement for the individual.

Reflective Journal

A journal of reflection can be of great help for personal growth as well as professional. Keep a record of your thoughts and reflections and also the new information gained. A reflective journal is useful during study or in a career since it contains what you did, what you learned, and general thoughts about how a week or month has gone through.

11 January 2016: Reading on Health, Well-being, and Ageing

I’ve never really given much thought to the benefits and obstacles to health and well-being at different stages of life. If someone has health problems, it’s not on the list of priorities. But, I’ve intrigued by the idea that certain people may be in the beginning with issues with their mental health and others develop them in the process. For instance, there’s no evidence to show that the standard of the child’s nutrition or care has a profound impact on our lives. For instance, there’s numerous evidence to suggest that the quality of the child’s care and care affects mental development.

The main factors that affect the health of infants which can help prevent problems with mental health later on include good health of the parents as well as adequate nutrition for the child and highly skilled caregivers who should there be any issues provide quality care and support ( A Whole-of-Lifespan Approach to Mental Health and Mental Illness, n.d., page. 774). Therefore, genetic mental illnesses are not preventable, but caring for the child may help in easing some of the difficulties that may arise with the development of their psychological abilities shortly.

PsychologyDecember 12, 2016 Reading of ‘Development’ Teens’

Life could be boring for someone who did not grow emotionally. As we age and children, we gain knowledge from new experiences, as well as lifestyle alterations. It’s no secret that we continue to grow physically. Because fewer physical changes occur in adulthood less attention is paid to these. But there is a distinction in the mental health of adults and teenagers during their growth. Teenagers want to grow older and be independent and mature as adults fear getting older. However physical changes can affect the psychological condition of an individual at any age. For instance, the first aging lines, the weight gain that occurs during puberty, and the first signs of aging can lead to depressive symptoms ( Developing Adolescents: an Information Source for Professionals 2002, 8). 8.).

13 January 2016 Reading about the Family system and the development

Yesterday, I discussed the fact that experiences from a young age can impact subsequent development. But the most significant element of development is the connection between the child and an authoritative person, be it an adult, a grandparent, or a caretaker. This can serve as an avenue for the child’s connection to the individual in later years. In the words of Fraigberg (1996) declared, “Our identity – the very center of our humanness – is achieved through the early bonds of child and parent” (p. 294). A common definition of attachment is the bond that exists between a person and their caregiver, a deeply emotional bond.

Different types of attachments may influence different stages of development. For instance, children who are not secure with their mothers are more likely to use physical aggression and disobedience towards their mothers (Malekpour 2007 page. 85).

15. January 2016. Reading about life span development and psychology

I was reading an article that was published in 1987. It’s quite old, but I’ve learned a lot in this piece. As per Baltes (1987) 1987, developmental psychology of life span is a field of psychology studies that focuses on studying the consistency and changes in human behavior and the length of their lives (p. 611).
